Computer Graphics Group

Welcome to the Computer Graphics Group at the Institute of Computer Science of the University of Bern. The fundamental goal of the Computer Graphics Group is to explore new opportunities to assist and improve visual communication using computer technology. We develop methods to generate and process images and to render visual information using computers. Applications of these methods range from movie production, computer games, architecture, industrial design, or remote collaboration to scientific visualization.

Research Highlight

We extended our work on "gradient-domain path-tracing" (SIGGRAPH 2015) to render temporally consistent animations (presented at SIGGRAPH Asia 2016).

As of March 2017, Prof. Zwicker has moved to the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park, and this page will not be updated any longer. See Prof. Zwicker's new web page here. The Institute of Computer Science at the University of Bern has a job opening for a new faculty.

The main research areas of our group include realistic rendering, 3D geometry processing, data-driven modeling, and signal processing for multi-view 3D displays. Please visit our research page for more information.
